I was raised Catholic, so anything sex-related was shameful. I waited until college to have sex with my boyfriend. I never felt comfortable doing it. Always guilty and ashamed after – no matter whether the sex was good or bad or love-making. After breaking up with my last long-term boyfriend, I have had no desire for sexual intimacy. It’s been 2-3 years. I really think that it is the abstinence only sex education that robbed me of my ability to engage in close intimate sexual relationships.
